Fuselage carry through

Post by Ralph Baker » Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:22 pm

We are building an Elite so can only suspect this also applies to the
Rebel. When building the main fuselage carry through there are rivets to
be left out at the top front where the FUS-01 is riveted to the FUS-03
horizontal rectangular tube. Both the paper and CD instructions call for
only the top row to remain open. Later, the roof skin is to be slipped in
between FUS-01 and FUS-03. I'm here to tell you that it cannot be done
with the second from the top horizontal row riveted. The rivets on the
back and clecos on the front top two rows provide rigidity to assemble and
square the rectangular carry through assembly and later assemble the roof.
If this is unclear read ahead to roof installation.
