I've never tried rivnuts and I've heard they can come loose and it can make
it difficult to remove a screw. I have tried a product called 'nutserts'
I have used a lot of nutserts. the protective cap that covers the elevator cables on the cabin floor. Is nutserted down, My panel is nutserted on top and both sides for removal, my buss bar is held in place with nutserts so I can remove inspect or add to it, most of my empanage fairings are nutserted for removal. Have had a few twist on removal. sometimes you can retighten them or clean the back side if accesable and put a dab of J-B weld on it. Usauly takes care of it. another thing is to use a bit of anti-sieze on the screw so you can break it loose after being instaled a long time.
All theis spots are nonstructual.
