Thanks Wayne... the problem is not that I have allowed any messages to continue
to be sent... in fact I caught and deleted over 60,000 messages waiting to be sent.
The problem is that hundreds of messages per person had already been sent, and
until each message has been received and dealt with, there's nothing else that can
be done. Even unsubscribing from the list isn't going to stop messages that have
already launched into cyberspace. 99% of Internet communication is of the "fire and
forget" type... meaning, once it has been sent the sending system doesn't know or
even care if it ever gets where it was intended. This also means, there's no way
to stop something already sent.
Again I apologize for the burden this has placed on everyone's e-mail. Please
remember that I do understand... it was 107 times worse on my system, since that's
how many digest members there are!
