Hi Stefan,
We realize there is a problem with the 13" spinner and the Warp Drive prop
..... it's so thin ! . I am talking to the "BOSS" about it today. You won't
be left without support as warp drive is such a popular choice among our
builders .... we just have to solve the problem.

Hi Stefan

I purchased a 3 blade warp drive with tapered tips the same as our good
friend
Jack Wiebe.

I thought alot about this problem and even made CAD drawings to understand
all
that was going on.

Final result: I replaced the crush plate that was sent from MAM for some
reason, and, replaced it with my own design. The crush plate was the round
circular plate that was about 6" OD, 3.125" ID and had the prop bolt holes
on
the 4.75" PCD. The adaptor that I ended up with had this same basic
configuration but then had a tube of sorts as you mentioned that extended
forward from the prop face to the front bulkhead. The ID of this tube is
the
same as the OD of the front bulkhead. As a result, the front bulkhead is
very
firmly supported by the prop bolts themselves. I was going to screw the
front
bulkhead to the adaptor but I'm not sure that this is even necessary as the
fit is so tight. It certainly cannot move and allow the front of the
spinner
to track out of round.

I have CAD drawings of the fix if you are interested.

All the best to you. I admire the fact that you are building solo in
Germany.
Keep building because the people flying tell me it is worth it. I hope they
are right.

skins be terminated outside the tank area as opposed to inside - a major
change and help for all concerned now incorporated into all their kits,

when I want help - well that is often another story. I do not understand
this. Information flow is often poor. I was upset recently to learn that

forward corners wraps have been yet changed again - first from 0.020 to

0.025

and now to something heavier. No info was forthcoming to the builders that
have been out there for sometime. Us early builders paved the way in alot

of

respects for the later kit builders by there ideas and the purchases etc.

keep MAM going. Sometimes you wonder why when you cannot even get signed

up

onto web support.

A web page of changes and mistakes etc. in the manual would be very easy to
post so that each builder could access this info and not have to fall into

the

same trap.
Nobody expects MAM to be perfect but it would help MAM in the long run to
communicate all issues. The builders are your best salespeople - no slight

is

intended to MAM sales, but the more Rebels flying the better it would be

for

MAM. There is a good reason that when you go to Oshkosh, only 8 rebels

show

up. I am tired of being told by tech support that " oh yeah, you have one

of

the early kits, that is why you have not been told etc." Since when is

an "early kit" when you have only sold 600 tops.
