I recall that the manual suggests putting a small bend in the
seat rails, possibly over a wood form.

Anybody got more recent experience/documentation ???

Randy,
Photo of my seat rails attached. Make a small bend, check the fit and
repeat. I had to redrill a hole near the bend, I also have about 1/16 gap
just under the bend.

Hope it helps,

Hi,
Does anyone know where MAM sources their seat rails? I keep asking the
murtech mailbox but no one has replied to my requests. I suppose the next
step is to call, but I guess I was hoping do avoid unnecessary long distance
charges.

As a follow up, has anyone tried to mate cessna seats with MAM rails? for
that matter, has anyone actually used articulating cessna seats in their
rebel? My guess is they're significantly heavier than an upholstered MAM
seat, but the right ones sure can be comfortable, and ususally at very
reasonable prices (used and online). Also makes re-upholstering more
pleasant, I would imagine.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Rob

The phone calls seem as futile as the emails.

A few years back I modified a set of Cessna "172" standered seats
for my Merenda, I did a lot of aluminum welding, then ordered seat
covers from Airtech, that made covering very easy.
I wouldn't recommend articulating seats, I have two out of a
Cessna "210" and they weigh about 10 lb more each then the
standered "172" seat.
I plan to use two modified "172" seats in my Rebel.
