Peter the bond may be very strong but most solvents including gas dissolve
Sikaflex. I've been using it to build my floats and would certainly
recommend it for a plane. It's very convenient to use and easy to clean up.
The bonding action should make joints stronger and I suspect that sikaflex
should help dampen vibrations.

Has anyone had any experience with a repair on a joint that has
Sikoflex in it? My understanding is that the bond is extremely strong
so that disassembly may involve causing more damage. Any truth to this?
