Resending this bc don't think the original went
through...
Hi all,
Need to trim the fiberglass fairing for the hor. stab.
for my SR. I have never worked with fiberglass before.
What's the best way to cut and trim fiberglass? I was
thinking of using a dremel tool with a cut off wheen
and then filing to the line. That ok? Do's and don'ts?
Thanks,
-jason

If it's not to thick you can use you're aviation snips. For long cuts or
flatter surfaces use you're bull snips. Then sand to final with a palm
sander. ALWAYS wear a mask so you don't breath the dust, the rosin or the
glass for that matter doesn't do the body any good.

I used a Dremel with a cut-off wheel and it worked excellent for me. Very
quick and easy. Wear a mask though. Lot's of fiberglass dust in the air.
