Just a quick warning if you receive mail from someone you don't know. I
opened an attachment yesterday that was from Candice (My wife has a cousin
by that name, so thought it was her father sending me mail) with a subject
line of 2001 Income tax calculation form. The message said "Hi, how are you.
I have attached the following for your opinion" or something similar to lull
me into opening it thinking someone wanted advice on their tax return, and
ended with See you later or similar. Also got one with the Subject line of
SILENT 27. When opened your drives will go nuts and it fills all your hard
drive space on it's own. It is a worm and my son was able to remove it, he
thought. Norton Antivirus is already updated to include this Worms detection
as I updated mine and it found I still had it on my computer. So if you have
a subscription to this service make sure you update now, as mine was only 10
days since last updated so this one is very new. Worm is called the sircam
worm or the sirc32 worm. Be careful of what you open!
Cheers,
Wayne

Worm Alert!
Worm Alert!
I received a similar email Wayne. Luckily, I didn't recognize the name and
had just finished cleaning a virus off my computer so I was very suspicious.
I deleted the email without opening anything. I sure would like to meet the
creator of a virus in a dark alley some day. I have never understood
vandalism - damaging someone elses possessions for no apparent reason - and
that is exactly what virus distribution is.

Worm Alert!
How do you think that the companies that sell virus protection stay in
business. They obviously pay people to write and distribute virus, so you
will continue to pay for the subscription to their service. How else do they
come up with the fix or cure within a day of the virus starting it's
rounds!!!!!!!!
