Can anyone give me a contact e-mail, mail address, FAX and / or phone number for SCOTT tailwheels
in the U.S. please ?!?

I've been GIVEN a worn out ...very tired SCOTT 3400 tailwheel and I need to get a parts list &
exploded diagram so I can order the bits to get it happening again.

I cannot seem to find them via the net....so I need to know how to contact them.

Thanks

Hi Rick,
Glad your back at flying again! Noise here on the web will probably get
quiet for a few days as we head for the big OSH. I'm leaving in a couple of
hrs from here in MIchigan, but driving. The insurance co wants 10 hrs before
passengers. Next year!
As for the noise questions. The lighest way, and fairly efficient, is to
put a blob of silicone in the middle of the panel to stop the drumming. A
little heavier method is used in body shops and it is a piece of lead tape,
propably 60 thou thick with double back tape on it, stuck in the area of
vibration. The return I got on trying to make it quieter was the rear
comptartment bulkhead. I put it in just aft of the window, but i am going to
move it back one more space. It is made out of a sheet of plastic and then
covered on the front with cloth and the back with sound deading foam. It
helped stop the megaphone effect of the tail real well.
You might try Aircraft spruced for the parts on the scott wheel. I know
they sell them as the whole kit so they might have the parts.
Glad your flying, and it sure is worth it! Curt N97MR

Couldn't find a factory site either. Try the site above for parts list and
diagrams. It will be real quiet around here for the next 7 days or so because
of Oshkosh.

Hi There

There are exploded parts views in the Aircraft Spruce catalogue. I have contacted Scott directly in the past but there are not the most helpful folks by any stretch. I did not locate anybody there who seem to know much about aircraft. Took a lot of prodding from them to get any info. In the end, I figured it out myself.

There's been some discussion on the Bearhawk list about the scott
tailwheel. Apparently the rudder arms have been failing due to them now
being made in China out of low quality metal. Just something else to
consider when trying to decide what's best on the rear of the rebel. :(
