Well I've found the problem your having Mike... but I can't do anything
about it. I've sent the required information off to the software designer,
and hopefully he can fix it quickly. The problem is the mail server
authenticates all messages to cut down on spam using what's call Sender
Authentication Portocol. What this does is verify that the sender of the
message is a valid e-mail address. The software is truncating your address
at the "&" symbol, so it's trying to authenticate an address of "mike",
which obviously is not a valid e-mail address. Once we get this resolved
I'll let you know.

Looks like whoever wrote the software didn't pay too much attention to RFC733
which allows for octal 46 (ampersand) to be used in an address.

In any case, they might have goofed sufficiently enough (again) to support it
via special character quoted string format.

Try using mike"&"cam@telus.net instead.

You're right... and here's the gotcha... The & character is as Name Value
pair separator when passing arguments between applications, like in WEB
Get/Post commands. WCSAP is called similar to a web service so all of the
parameters are separated with a & character. Not a great way to handle
passing information between different mail services! I guess we'll have to
wait and see what he does about it.

If you are reading this, Mike, it would be good to change
your email address in any case !

Most software won't even allow you to use 'special characters'
like the "&" in an address - if you can, please change it to,
say "mikeandcam" or "mikecam" ...

I can guarantee that you will have problems with other sites
if you do not do this !!

G'Day Mike, I am seriously thinking about building a Rebel and would like
to
gain as much info as possible re the kit, assy issues, etc. Have noticed
that a
few have used the Jabiru 6 cyl. Would like to contact builders and pick
their
brains so to speak. Can you please advise on subscribing to the list etc?
