Blast tubes for mags

Hi Bruce !

Yes ! Blast tubes to cool the mags are highly recommended
by the overhaul shops. About a 1/2" hole will do, with almost any
kind of tubing to direct the cooling airflow onto the mag.
Even a bent-up sheet metal channel will help.

I just added them to my O-320, and, in a hurry, used the
plastic flex piping usually used to wrap bundles of wires, sealed
in with high temp. silicone - seems to work !

All things electronic seem to work better and longer when
kept cool, and mag coils and condensers can suffer from excess
heat.....
