Wayne,

Do you guys baffle the front lower cylinders? MAM's baffle diagrams and
manual give no reference to front lower cylinder baffles.

0320 baffles

Bruce, seem to have quite even cylinder temps with the basic MAM baffle set
up. All 4 cylinders on the Zero'd O-320 in the amphib were running within 12
degrees of each other (with only 10 hours on it) when I delivered her on
Thursday. The highest cylinder in high power cruise (2575 rpm) on the way to
Ottawa was 393*F. Outside temps were about 82*F, 100% Humidity and 1/2 Mile
in Haze was the visibility to go with it, so not great cooling weather to
begin with! My baffles are done pretty much identical and I run cylinder
temps of about 375*F in normal cruise, and my engine has about 60 hours
since it was Zero'd.

Front baffles come up to about the 10 o'clock position on the front
cylinders (if looking at the left side of the engine). Rear baffle plates
seals against the 3 o'clock postion of the rear cylinder (and raps around
the bottom to about the 4:30 area) and of course the factory Lycoming baffle
plates between the two cylinders on each side.

No, I don't feed air at my mags and have had no problems with them, on any
of my aircraft. Even my UTVA's 340 H.P. Lycomings don't have air blasts to
the mags and they have worked flawless. Some people have welded small blast
tubes to the rear baffles, with the tube pointed at the mags, but I haven't
found the need YET!

I'm not sure why the list server keep sending these messages over and over
again. This one was sent yesterday and it appeared again today. I just didn't
want you guys to think I was a computer illiterate. Well, even though I am!
It must be a pride issue!

What message are you getting duplicates of
Bruce? I haven't received any myself, and I just
checked the archived, no dupes there either.

Mike, it's probably just me. I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. Thanks
for taking such good care of us and the listserver. It wouldn't happen
without you!

I have lots of digital pictures of my Rebel on my computer. They are JPG and
take up lots of memory and about 2 minutes a picture to send or receive. I
haven't sent any to the list because I have never figured out how to reduce
there size. Any suggestions.

Anybody going to AirVenture this year? I'll be at the Murphy booth often and
the dinner get-together Saturday night. I'm looking forward to seeing many of
my new Rebel web friends I've never met.
