Rebel Height - mounted per MAM on 1800's
Posted: Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:02 pm
Steve, the Rebel when mounted per MAM's instructions, as to height, has an
under wing clearance of 7'6" at the aileron horn and 7'8" at the wing tip.
The one I have on 1500's is maybe an inch lower. The tail fin will go
through a 10 foot opening with a bit of clearance and is the highest point
UNLESS you have roof mounted antennas, and then these become the highest
point that should still squeeze through a 10 foot door.
Take care,

Thanks for the bits of Aviation Humor. On a side note, I knew Ernest Gann
personaly, and flew him on a number of occasions between his home on San
toIsland and Seattle Washington in my 182 Skylane. He was a person of many
interests, and quite a pilot.
Could you give me the distance from the underside of the rebel wing to the
ground on your float equip Rebel with the wheels down. I am getting close
amounting my 1800 ,s and need this distance to see if the wing will go over
