Subject: alodynig and priming

I have a question for those couragious (mad?) fellow builders that are
alodyning their Rebels. Dave and I have started this process on our Elite.
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that if you alodyne, you have to be
quick at primimg the surfaces, or you lose all the benefits of the alodyne.
I can't remember where I read that -- is it correct? If so, how quickly do
you have to prime?

Have never heard this !! Alodining is a permanent surface treatment -
many aircraft are alodined ONLY, never painted. (especially inside)

What they may have been referring to was etching - if you etch the
surface, you strip away all of the surface oxides, and must EITHER alodine
OR prime the surface quickly, because it will oxidize again quickly.
