Elevator cable sag
Posted: Fri Feb 17, 2012 8:56 pm
I am running my elevator cables under the floor.
I would like to know how much sag you guys are
seeing between supports on the elevator cables
above the floor. That way I know roughly how
much slop I will see in my cables (helps me know
how frequently to support them).
If your plastic supports are roughly 3' apart,
what is the max deflection you see due to
gravity? Roughly what tension do you have on the
cable to get that deflection?
Best regards,
Scott Hibbs
