Hi Mike Kimball, Eggenfellner's email address is eaainc@aol.com , I
believe. His maximum horsepower engine is the EJ 2.5 165 hp. So at first
glance no use to you with an SR. However I have heard him say that
converting the SVX engine is not very difficult to do and I believe that
engine puts out 260 hp. That enough for that beastie? At the same time I
hear also that the new 6 cylinder engine in the brand new Subaru SUV
(Outback?) is not all that easy to convert and only puts out 210 hp I
believe. The SVX engine is available, although not as plentiful of course as
the 2.5 liter engines. Some were imported directly from Japan. Jan can do
the job and is a good man, but remember money in escrow, do not prepay. I do
not believe that the Crossflow people can do a higher horsepower EJ 2.5 ,
but maybe they are willing to do an SVX engine for you. Have had no bad
reports on them. Hope this will help, Geert Frank
