Congratulations Rick !!

Just one thought - please check to be sure you have <at least>
27 degrees of UP elevator travel before flying. It will be MUCH easier
to land ! Suggest half full fuel tanks and about 100 lb of weight
in the baggage area for that first flight - it will handle better than
full tanks and no baggage. Use at least 70 mph for approach until
you're comfortable with the Rebel.

Enjoy it !! It really IS worth it !!!!

Bob,

Wouldn't more fuel equate to a farther aft C of G and an easier landing, with
the datum being the leading edge?

Hi Bruce !

The baggage area is farther back than the wing tanks, and the
Rebel does fly quite differently with full fuel - probably not a
feel I would like for the first flight....

The Rebel carries much more fuel (and load) than almost anything
comparable, and so there is a big difference in handling & speeds,
inertia, etc., between empty & full. Have done a fair few test flights,
and I prefer to have it loaded around half, with the extra weight aft.
It's probably closest to the way it'll be flown most often, and it
is a bit easier to land that way ...
