SR elevator horn modification

Hi all,

Murphy tech support has apparently been really busy
trying to prepare for Sun-n-fun. The 'pdf' file on
their website that has the plans for making the
elevator horn modification is not accessable. Does
anyone have this file that they can email me? Tried
calling the factory, but they are REALLY preoccupied
w/ getting the 3500 and JMD ultralight ready.

Any help would be appreciated as I am stuck at this
point. Maybe someone has a xerox copy they could scan
and send?

-Jason

Sorry you're having a challenge there, Jason. Sun 'n Fun is
really THE most important show these days, and the factory always
has to scramble to get a new aircraft ready for the show. This year
they've really outdone themselves !! TWO new designs finished AND
flying in time (just) for S 'n F !!!!!

It will likely be at least a couple of weeks before they'll
be able to fix the web site, as the webmaster (Dean) will be flying
the Elite on amphibs down to Florida, and wending his way back in
the motorhome !! Sorry for the delay - I hope you have a few other
things to work on in the meantime .....

Jason,

A thought.
I just checked the web page and see that the original horn mod was dated
August 2000. Murphy may want to update/change the original mod based on the
work they have just completed for the SR3500 upgrade.

Just a guess ??

Hi Jason !

I just checked - this is a simple typo !! You can access
the PDF file if you type this address into your browser:

http://www.murphyair.com/PDF%20Amend/sr/Elevhorn.pdf

NOTE THAT <CASE> OF LETTERS IS IMPORTANT !!!

Hope that helps !!

Jason,

I just took a look at the file Bob directed you to.

http://www.murphyair.com/PDF%20Amend/sr/Elevhorn.pdf

The mod as show is similar to the 3500 upgrade I received today but not
quite as extensive. I do not have the time to go into detail at the moment.
I assume if you are keeping the SR at 2500 the mod as shown is sufficient.
But just so you know the 3500 is additionally modified.

Hi Jason,

I have completed the elevator horn mod for the SR2500. It was pretty easy.
If you can't get what you need by using Bob's suggestion, or whatever, send
me an email at
mkskimball@mosquitonet.com
and I'll scan in the update and email it to you.
