CH601 Shake!!

Ken, if builders of Zenair's/Zenith's CH601, CH701 and probably the CH801
would just put a couple crease marks in the fuselage skins (like the Rebel
has) they wouldn't do the "DOG" shake thing when they shut them down!!! If
you know anyone that is building one of these aircraft, do them a favour and
pass that hint onto them.
Also, FWIW, I have recently acquired (read paid lots of money for!!) a
TWELVE foot pneumatic shear and a twelve foot hand brake to do just that for
them. The shear is also available (for a fee) to any of the local builders
that want to trim the sometimes extra edge distances that show up on MAM's
wing skins and trailing edges from time to time.

Ever watch the rattle and shake of a zenith 601
with a rotax 912 while it starts up or shuts down? The airframe is
momentarily a torsional tuning fork. Unfortunately it is not usually
obvious if the crankshaft is resonating instead of the airframe (until
something breaks).
