[rebel-builders] Holes for Float Pump-outs
Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:36 pm
Hi John
Greenlea knockouts are the answer if you can get a hand in behind. I have a large variety of sizes so let me know what you need and if I've got that size we can arrange to get it to you.
Did you get your prop back ?
Happy New Year

Hello Group,
Sorry to trouble you with such an entry level question, but I have very little metal working experience and don't want to screw up.
I am about to add pump-outs to the float compartments on either side of the main wheel wells. My natural impulse is to use a cup-shaped hole saw, as one would for wood. (http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/6 ... RRWidgetID)
I am just a bit worried that the saw may start to "walk" sideways in the thin aluninum of the float.
So, here I am, looking for re-assurance, or alternative suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
John
