[rebel-builders] Back to Work

Hi Duane, Welcome back to building. My project is about same stage as yours. I'm on bungee gear (modified from MAM), will be o320, and also zealous for low empty wt.

There is a 1998 manual, in cd and paper form. Don't really know how best to get those these days. Either Parts @ Murphyair.com or Bob P. I'm not sure how required these are tho for your stage of progress, ie, having the airframe basically done. I would think you're covered by doing the Ontario Mods and the MAM bulletins -- tech and service. I think the bulletins are not currently on the web site and I'm happy to send my copy if you like.

Hello,
I have recently restarted working on my Rebel and would like to get
re-acquainted with the group. I have kit #266. I started it 18 years ago
(!). Like many people, life intervened the way it always does, and I put
the Rebel aside about 10 years ago. I have quite a bit of work
donecontrol surfaces done, covered and painted through silver, wings done,
fuselage done to the firewall and on the spring gear, and Im starting to
work on the controls. I have an O-235 in my hangar that I intend to put on
it. I intend it to be fairly light, but experimental category, day VFR. I
am reading and incorporating all the mods that are relevant, and its good
that, between Bob P. and this list, I dont feel alone.
I have a couple immediate questions and Im sure Ill have a lot more as I
try to get up to speed. First question: Does anyone have a mount for an
O-235 they want to sell, maybe because you went with a 320 or something?
Second one: Is there a more recent set of plans for the fuselage available
than the latest ones I have, which are dated 7/27/94? If so, where could I
find them?
Thanks in advance,
Duane Cromwell

Thank you, Ben, Derek, and others who replied. I think I have the manual updates I need now to revise and push ahead.

Thanks Jeff ...I hadn't been able to find them from the murphyair.com home
page. I see now that they can be found from there by clicking on the
Rebel photo along the top (or whichever model), then the tech tips.
