Today, I've been fitting the torque tube in my right wing, just in front of
the main spar. I built the torque tube bracket per the manual, but in
installing the torque tube assembly to the bracket, the manual calls for an
AN4-13A bolt, an AN960-418 washer, then an AIL-26 bushing (inner) in the
AIL-27 brass bushing that is fitted to the bracket. Then an AN970-4 Penny
Washer and another AN960-418 washer between the bushings and the torque
tube. OK, the question, the AIL-26 bushing is 5/32" longer than the AIL-27
bushing it fits in. That introduces right to left movement in the torque
tube. Should I trim the AIL-26 busing to fit? In addition, prior to final
assembly, should I lubricate the bushing with some grease or something?
Thanks,
