I cannot open the link. If this is the MANDATORY check for crankcase
cracking around the bearing on 912 and 914 Rotaxes that also came from
RotaxOwner.com. If anyone else can't open Nigels link I will send the AD on
request to rebaker@sc.rr.com.

[rebel-builders] European AD for Rotax 912/914 engines

Yes it's the same AD that came out yesterday for UL and Certifed engines.
Only difference in the UK AD is they have listed the serial number of the
crankshaft itself vs the serial number of the engine it is installed in...
and have stated ALL engines are to be inspected for this AD.

Here is the NAmerican AD for those running the UL and ULS engines here.
Serial numbers are up in the 6's and or those that recently had an engine
overhauled. If you are in the batch.. you're grounded!

http://legacy.rotax-owner.com/SI_TB_Inf ... 2059UL.pdf

Stupidity of the AD... if you tear apart and find no crack..... then you are
to bolt it back together and go flying. Reality is you could have only a few
hours on your engine and a crack hasn't formed yet.
