Strange symptons

Geert,

It's not Mike's fault. Email programs can be set so that when you send a
reply (using the reply button), it will include the message which you are
replying to, in it's entirety .

A person who is reading the digest, who want's to reply to a particular
message within the digest, WILL INCLUDE THE ENTIRE DIGEST IN HIS REPLY, if
his email program is set to do so. I'm sure this wastes a lot of space on
Mike's server, but he has no way to control it.

In Outlook Express you can turn this off by going to Tools, Options, click
on the Send Tab, and unchecking the 'include message in reply' box. Most
email programs will have a similiar way to turn this feature on/off.

Or you can cut the particular segment of text from the digest, use the New
Mail Message button, paste the text into the new message, include your
comments, and send to the list.
