Clear Signals

Hello to Brian, Bob, Scott & all, I've watched your thread about antennas &
signal loss etc . FWIW Bob Knuckles (aeroelectric.com) sells RG400 coax for
about $1.50/ft depending on qty ordered . This is the preffered "modern"
cable to use for most of the frequencies involved in our homebuilts. There is
almost 1 db gain over RG58 as seen in the signal loss comparison chart (pdf)
at Knuckles website. Go to the "second" catalog for a description of this
cable and to see the comparison. There are also many other wonderful products
at the Aeroelectric.com site. Everyone planning on doing thier own
eletrical/avionics installation should have a copy of "The Aeroelectric
Connection". Not to brag (honest) but I'm an A&P mechanic and avionics
technician with FCC Gen Radiotelephone license and HAM radio license and I've
still learned much from this publication !!! Aircraft Spruce also sells
RG400 for a little more $. This is my first contribution to the the list, I'm
fairly new, so sorry if everyone already knew about my two cents worth. Chris
