[rebel-builders] 2 Rear Control Arms ?

Personally, I like the older one with the shorter arm distance for the
control cable hook up. Equals more sensitive pitch control and LESS stick
movement = no crushed boys trying to 3 point the airplane with full back
stick. The newer one was made as people complained the elevator control was
too sensitive and the longer arms = longer stick throw to get the same
elevator movement.

I'll second that !! I can't imagine anyone thinking it was too
sensitive !!

Same goes for the bellcrank on the left of the stick ....
go for the original, shorter one ... not the "-1" or "-2" ...
(CC-xx - ?? ....) If you use the later one, you cannot get
full aileron deflection !! :-(

The newer one is probably OK on floats but on a taildragger I'd also
rather have the old shorter one especially if the firewall is moved
back. I think the new one is an attempt to harmonize roll and pitch
stick forces a bit. Rolling stick forces are higher than elevator stick
forces but I would not describe the Rebel as particularly sensitive to
elevator control. Probably good to also reinforce the shelf that this
sits on with a left right angle or something to resist vertical
deflection from the rudder cables pulling down on the assembly and
binding the bearings a bit. There is talk of that in the archives
several years ago.

I would also prefer the older shorter bellcrank for the one beside the
control column if you want to achieve full flaperon deflection.

Offhand I do not remember details regarding the upgraded mixer
bellcrank. I seem to recall that there are at least 3 versions of it as
well although one of them is just a change to a larger hole for a larger
center bearing assembly.
