As I recall this procedure, there were some length "discrepancies" as you
put it, and mine ended up being custom lengths. I'd strong suggest you wait
until the wings are on, and cut to length needed then. And forget not the
FRRB: "Never rely [only] on the manual" -- or thereabouts. ;-)

Both mine only extend about an inch. I cut them to provide about 1/4
inch clearance from the wing torque tubes as I recall. If the wings are
built it should be easy to measure what you need from the wing attach
bolt holes.

Similarly don't believe the manual for the length of any push pull tube
until you verify it with measurements.

Thanks Ron and Ken,

Sound advice... and now that I have one wing on it makes more sense. Being a
typical guy, I sometimes don't follow instructions anyway, but given that I
can't pull over to the side of the road to fix something, I am trying to be
diligent in following the manual
