I have a Rebel I bought a year ago. It was completed in 1996 only
flown about 100 hrs. It has a 130 HP 2.2 litre Subaru which is
unreliable and has just siezed up.

I have removed the Subaru and will sell the PSRU , fuel injection
and such.

I have just purchased an O-320 150 HP Lycoming with 1500 hrs that
was just removed from an Apache. I should have it by the end of
next week. I ordered a prop that I will have in 3 weeks.

I need some plans and instructions on how to reinforce the
firewall and wherever else needed. I will not reuse or try to
modify the bulky fiberglass cowl. So some plans also for a 4 door
cowl--nosebowl suggestions. I looked at some of the pics on the
website

Apparently there is no Murphy motor mount for the old straight
O-320 (no suffixes) so I will need to make a mount using parts of
the Apache and Subaru mounts. Prop flange position and angle
relative to the airframe suggestions also. My neighbor has a rebel
with O-290 and his prop is angled almost 10 degrees more up and it
is positioned about 5 inches higher than mine was with the subaru
engine. So I need to know what is the best setup.

where best to run the exhaust? Single pipes? collector?

Thanks
Karl Hipp
