If you want it to look clean and professional use Adel clamps $1.00 - $3.00
each! If you are going for Sport Pilot light weight, use the ty-wraps 5 -
10 cents each.

Keep in mind you do not want things to rub, keep parts separated, or secured
together. Not so tight as to crush things---especially radio co-ax cables
such as RG-58, or 400

thermocouples, ignition wires, etc not alot of spots to sucure to and

When using cable ties, I like to wrap one tie around the tube or what ever
you are tying to, and push it through a piece of tygon fuel tubing about
1/2" long... then put another tie wrap through this one and wrap it around
the wires or cables. This causes the wires/cables to stand off by 1/2" and
keeps them from rubbing. Hope that makes sense.

Ty-wraps work well but they don't like too much heat. Just use them and be sure to check them well every annual. The dollar store ones are plastic instead of nylon so be sure to buy from a trusted vendor.

Hi Mike: Actually what you explain is correct with the following
clarifications:
Choose a cable tie long enough to wrap around both tubes you intend to
separate, and then some. Use a hose which will have sufficient diameter for
the same tie wrap passing twice inside the hose; choose the length of hose
Which will be the amount of sepparation of both tubes. Pass the tie wrap
through the hose and hold it half way on the tie wrap's length. Go around
one of the tubes with the pointed end of the tie wrap and inmediately
through the hose so as to form a loop. Continue with the pointed end of the
tie wrap around th second tube (scat hose, cable cluster, etc) and come back
to meet the ratchet side of the tie wrap. Work them as one unit until they
are tight around both tubes; if one of the tubes is wiring, avoid fixing too
tight as the tie wrap may damage the wiring. If one of the tubes happens to
be a motor mount, I protect it from chafing with silicon sheeting under the
tie wrap; on the scat, cable cluster side, I use a soft hose abouth 1 inch
long and with sufficient diameter to wrap around the hose or cable cluster.
