[rebel-builders] Amphib Gear Position Check

That is one of the big benefits of a manual pump IMO. If the pressure
comes up before 13 strokes one of my wheels did not go all the way down.
If the pressure comes up before 12 strokes one of my wheels did not
fully retract.

I did put in watts check valves and a true 3/8" outlet and tube from the
reservoir so I never cavitate (suck vacuum) no matter how fast I pump.

I do have red paint on the nosegear fork so my passenger either sees red
or a wheel. I do lean over and check that side when no passenger but as
long as I count the strokes and check my side then they are all in the
same position and there is little else that can be done anyway.

I also have some audio reminders but don't think that is the question.

Is anyone using switches and lights? RE-directed back-up video?
Mechanical indicators?

John...Like Ken, I count and know by the number of strokes and pressure how things are progressing. I
can visually see both front wheels and use the mirrors for the mains....but bottom line is that I do not worry
about the mains as much as the front gear. If the mains do not retract when you hit the water, you simply
slow down more quickly. If the mains do not go down, you lose some of the keel on the asphalt. The front
gear is far more critical....particularly on the water. One of my friends has the indicator lights, but they
rarely work properly so I have not bothered with them. Bob 331R

All,
I to can see the left nose gear, I attached a small mirror to the "A" pillar on the right side up hi and can see the right nose with that. A mirror on the left wing gives me the right main so the only one I cannot see is the left main. BUT, like the others, I count the strokes. Takes me 14.
