Rick.. I've never used that exhaust, but you'd want to adjust them to where
you want them and then tighten them up. I'd think solid would be better than
any chance of them swinging against something you don't want melted/worn
thru.

The other style is a ball socket that you adjust to where you want it and
then drill for a stainless rivet to lock in place.

Did you get those floats slid back out into place on the spreaders??

Since we are talking about exhausts, I cant find a tool to get onto the
exhaust lugs to tighten them, socket and wrenches can do some but
difficult to get at some of the studs, any suggestions

Always one or two that aren't convenient to get at... I'm generally using a
thin walled deep socket and a 12 inch extension Mike.

I have a 1/4"drive socket that I ground down so that it fits and use it only on those tough to get at studs.

Wayne,Ya thats the way I have it now, can't move it by hand but the springes are not fully compressed,I think it should work like that.
Not yet,I'm trying to finnish up the engine work(2or 3 weeks)then tackle the floats.I think I'll let some air out and put some wax on the tubes hopefully goes easyer than narrowing them.
