Tim,
If you had not already planned on it, when you cut the table legs drill the bottoms and set a 1/2-13 coupler nut in. Then screw in a 1/2-13 bolt to allow height adjustment to make up slight leg cutting errors or floor irregularities while adjusting the top to dead level throughout.
