Hi Robert,

I'm building #207 here in Alaska. I was very tempted and almost made the deal on the Rotec 150 hp. After doing some thorough research incl talking with 5 people using the eng. I came to the conclusion that although it seems like a great eng, it was going to be a little too complicated for me here in AK. The guys who had it loved it. They were mostly replica WWI fighters, etc and maybe weren't flying as much as I intend to. Give me a call if you want to talk more about it, 907-355-6290.

BTW, the guys at Rotec seemed to really want to get this eng in a Rebel. He was offering me a crazy good deal for the engine, oil tak, and mount...$21,000. I really love that radial eng and wouldn't mind having it in another plane someday. Craig www.alaskanrebel.com

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the rebel forum and just bought 46R. Im located in Gainesville, fl. Has anyone set one up with a rotec 150hp yet, or have anything to say about it.
I'm also a little stumped with my sg-14 install. I need to transfer the rivet holes over from the drilled floor pan, which will need he seat rails on them as well - If I read correctly. I am having a hard time finding info on how far back the rails should be. I bent the rail about 1/2" behind the furthest rear locking hole to meet the crease in the floor. Is this right? It seems like it will give me the desired travel.
Also - I have two seat rails that say SA-20 instead of SA-27 and three sets of SA-27's does this mean anything?
