Dynon remote compass location

What is the best (easiest that works well) location for the Dynon remote compass? Eric, are you here? I was thinking on the ceiling behind one of the bulkheads in the baggage area, or possibly right above the pilot's head next to the torque tube support. Not sure just how isolated or far away from ferrous stuff this thing really needs to be.
Thanks.
Jesse

Be careful using stainless in any mount or hardware in any magnetically sensitive area. There are magnetic stainless steels.

To find the best place on my Moose, I established the magnetic heading
away from the aircraft and then fired up everything and moved all over
the fuselage with a compass to find the place with the least magnetic
influence. Then mounted the Dynon using a fabricated aluminum bracket
and rivets. The unit now shows correct magnetic direction.

I found it amazing what caused interference as I scanned the fuse.

Mine ended up above the pilots head ...

Good luck.
