[rebel-builders] Preventing Moose/SR stinger side-to-side movement

Post by Eduardo Gutierrez Sosa » Sun Feb 19, 2012 8:34 pm

Jason: I would not use anything but a good steel bushing machined to size;
rubber, delrin, or anything else which is "soft" will NOT last very long and
you may end up wondering around the landing field. That's my opinion,
regards to you all, a very Happy New Year to all, Eduardo

Guys,

Quick question: I have a custom stinger purchased from another builder a few
years back. It's 1 inch in diameter, so there is a slight gap either side of
the stinger up in the tailcone where it mounts.

What have others done to take up this gap? I was thinking either delrin
spacers or some sort of rubber cushion. Thoughts and/or suggestions?

I can see if you don't prevent the side-to-side movement it will eventually
wear the bolt hole on the stinger.

Thanks, -Jason
