M14P Differences?

There is an M14P for sale that I have been considering. It has been pickled
for over ten years. The current owner is an IA and has been re-applying
preservative fogging oil regularly and has been keeping an eye on the
cylinders with a boroscope. I talked to a friend that runs a local
maintenance shop and he didn't seem to be overly concerned with the long
period of storage as long as there were no signs of corrosion inside and
out. He did mention that the valve springs should be checked since at least
some of them have been compressed for a long time. The question I have for
the list is whether there are any differences between the new manufactured
M14P and one that was built over ten years ago. Any other concerns over
long term storage? Guy wants $9500US for the engine, accessories, and prop
with new blades. Whatta ya all think?
