Catto props

Hi guys, I'm contemplating a prop and right now I'm thinking of going with a Catto. I looked on the archives and there is only a little information there. Curt Martin has a 3 blade Catto that he loves. I wanted to go with a 2 blade but not sure if I have enough ground clearance. Catto is suggesting a diameter between 78"-82" and pitch from 42-46 (I have a 160hp O-320). I don't quite have the engine hung yet to measure from prop flange to the ground. I'm on 8.50 tires with Wayne's spring gear so I think I should be OK with a 78" prop anyway. Can anyone provide some data points on both prop clearance with longer props and or Catto props on a Rebel?
Thanks much.
Jesse

I recently installed a Catto prop and went with 78" to give me a little more
clearance when on skis. I started out with 45 pitch, and had to get repitched
to 47.5, which is just right, about 2750 rpm WOT level flight. I have a 150 Lyc
with a Pmag electronic ignition, which is giving me more power than Craig
had calculated originally. Craig was great to deal with, the product is
excellent, and I would recommend his prop. I believe he just came out with a
nickel leading edge as well.

Allen: Although I'm over a year away from needing a prop, I am
planning to purchase a "Catto" prop. Would you please tell what
you paid for it so I can budget for it. And also how much it weighs?

Thank you. Keith P. Taildraggers forever

It cost $1800 and the weight was about 14 lbs.
I had also considered an Ivoprop electric in flight adjustable, but decided to
keep it simple and reliable.
