Regarding my earlier inquiry, I purchased the more expensive Propylene
Glycol based plumbing antifreeze which claims corrosion resistance for
metals. At least some of the cheaper 'non toxic' ethanol based plumbing
anti freezes do carry warnings not to use them with metal pipes. I take
that as evidence that there are similar concerns to ethanol induced fuel
system corrosion. I haven't researched the environmental effects of the
Propylene so I'll use it sparingly but then again I've seen that word on
food ingredients ;) and it was a lot of work building the floats...
