Pitot Angle

Post by Thomas Breitbach » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:32 pm

Hello,

I am going to install the Murphy pitot tube (including static port). It
will be installed at the leading edge on the left wing.
As already suggested on this list a position in the fifth bay seems
best, since a can access the connections via the inspection holes of the
stab.

I am actually considering what angle is the best for the tube. My plan
is to install just parallel to the wing. What is your experience? Is
putting it some degrees down better to get more accurate values near
stall conditions?
