O320 or O360 for the Elite tailwheel?

Hi All

My building partner and I have purchased an Elite from Tulsa. It is in transit to New Zealand at the moment, looking forward to its arrival.
We are going through the process at the moment of deciding what power plant and should we go down the EFIS track?
Any comments/suggestions.?
I have been told an O320 tuned with electronic ignition will produce close to that of an O360 with a tuned exhaust.
We plan to use the aircraft in the backcountry.
