If you do a search on this web site in the archives you will find
postings of conversions from murphy part number to avex numbers
Would post it here but don't have the email with me

It's always a good idea to start with the manual which, though not perfect,
does have a lot of information, of course. Chapter 01, p. 12 of my edition
contains a chart converting Murphy rivet numbers to standard sizes. If you
don't have a manual, you can order one on CD from Murphy, by emailing your
request with your name, address & phone, etc., to shipping@murphyair.com It
may take a little while to get a response because due to economic
conditions, I believe the company is only staffed a small amount of time at
this point.

Aircraft Spruce has a small selection. As mentioned in the list archives
frequently, Hanson Rivets has every kind of rivet imaginable.

My first attempt to email this bounced, so I'll try again.

I don't have a manual so tks for the "manual on CD" tip, I used to talk to
MAM all the time about documentation, funny they never told me that I could
get a manual of my own on CD. I've sent my email to Murphy requesting
one.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong in the "search" window, but I tried to
search the archives for rivet suppliers but get no hits on any of the terms I
used. I tried every permutation I could think of, the result was no hits on
suppliers or replacement AVEX rivets now that AVEX AIRCRAFT RIVET is no
more...! They sold out more than five years ago to...!
AC Spruce wants a better part no., anybody have any idea what the "NAS"
number is for the RV-1613 rivet??
To help me search the archives for rivet suppliers or replacements, what
search term do you all use??
FWITW "Mattic" ship cost to the US is more than the rivets cost. So I've
tried them but too expensive overall plus customs.

Caltrac,

I have attempted to respond to this, both substantively and with additional
comments, by off list direct email to you, a better channel for what I want
to convey at the moment. I only have the "caltrac@dcsol.com" address, and
those addresses don't always work. If you don't get my direct reply to you
via that address, please send another working email address to me at
rshannon@cruzcom.com and I'll resend to you at the working address.
