Riveter problem resolved

Thank you Curt...this was the information I needed as
I didn't realize that power was transfered
hydraulically from the air piston to the oil piston.
I added some MM oil to the well in which the air
piston slides up and down and that solved the problem,
although after several hundred rivets pulled. The
riveter I'm using is the 'Garage-Pro' from the MAM
basic tool-kit.

And by the way, someone noted that I didn't say where
I'm located when I sent my intro message: Lynden,
Washington, about 30 miles SW of Chilliwack, BC, and
we all know where that is.

Hi Scott,
I'm not sure of your riveter problem, but if is
in the nature of not pulling all the way the first
pull or just doesn't seem strong enough you might
look to see if is an air over oil system. The one I
bought from campbell hausfield is that way, along
with one from Mac tools(like a snap-on dealer) that
we were given because it didn't work anymore. Took
it apart to see why it didn't work, found the oil to
be missing. I think we added about 3 oz of Marvel
mystery oil to the cylinder area and it has worked
fine since. Curt N97MR Keep at it it's worth it!
