Floor Channels and Seat Rails

Just about to install the floor channels that go below the seat rails. I
have upgraded the channels to .032 (St 28) but am concerned that when back
to back, they will not be wide enough to catch the rivets in the seat rail.
Has anyone put spacers in between the channels so that their edges will
align with the edges of the seat rail?

Hi Roland,
I have used the .020 channels without spacers but have positioned them
so they will catch the seat rail rivets at the front. It's not possible to
do the same at the rear but I did position the inner channels under the
seat rail so as to catch the inboard rivets. One of my next jobs is to
translate all that to the inner floor.
FWIW after some thought I placed both seats an inch inboard instead of
just the pilots, thinking a bit less seat belt clutter. Can't tell you
whether it worked for a while yet.
Cheers Mike
