Good luck with that! It's a bit like asking a stranger how much he
weighs, not many would answer and how many would be truthful? Who knew
pilots were vain!

C-FYHO is a 160hp rebel with die spring gear, no paint and minimal panel.
On wheels with all the float hydraulics installed it weighs 902lbs. On
Murphy 1800 amphibs it weighs 1153lbs. I weighed my plane inside at Glen's
Terryair in Centralia with proper airplane scales that get certified every
year.

I notice that both the planes have the die or coil spring gear, what is the
opinions on the different types of gear.
Which is the lightest and which handles rough back country strips the best??

My empty weight on wheels with the 320, bungee gear and original Warp prop was 925, would have been 950 with the Sensenich.

I'm 1200 on the amphibs, and the weight stayed the same with 360, as I did cut out some weight when I installed the new engine and cowl.
