[rebel-builders] torque tubes inside fuselage

Hi Mike

On the Elite (and I think the rebel as well) the CC43 horns correspond and
mirror with the ones on the wing on the outboard ends of the fus torque
tubes.

At the centre hanger the bolt through the hanger MUST be AN310 castle nutted
and split pinned to prevent it coming undone.

The inboard horns are both positioned to curve happy face rather than sad
face if that makes sense. This prevents the edge of the horn hitting the fus
roof rib as it travels.

I riveted the horns to the end caps first, then riveted the caps to the
torque tubes when I knew they were in the right position to allow the travel
I needed to move the ailerons fully.

Subject: [rebel-builders] torque tubes inside fuselage

i all

i am doing the torque tubes inside the fuselage and am confused, as i go
along i see lots of questions comming

first of all the 2 torque tubes large and small, what is the
relationship of the control arms on the ends, are they exact opposite of
the ends that attach to the wing tubes

if they are identical at each end at what point can i rivet together,
since the inside pieces bolt onto the hanger bracket i assume the tubes
are not removeable and they would be bolted first, then rivet the end
caps to the tubes then mount the hanger bracket after fitting with wings
in place

cheers for now
