Mo horse power in a Rebel

I know of one person with an O 360 - parallel valve (190 hp) There are some
IO 360 and IO 375 - parallel valve engines out there (Aero Sport Power) that
are light and have power ratings right up to 210 hp with various
combinations of parts and different compression ratios. Aero Sport Power has
a good website with a section that has all of the specs. Note the
differences in compression ratio and rated RPMs. The IO 360 A series
Lycoming angle valve is a different engine at about 35 pounds heavier, 1/2
inch wider and deeper due to tuned intake manifolds.
All of the above could likely get your Rebel to exeed the the Vne (147 mph)
on wheels at a normal cruise power setting but I am sure that is not what
you want to do!

With that in mind some of the light weight O or IO 360s (parallel valve) on
amphib floats would make a very nice airplane.

Had to shoot another coat of Polyspray anyhow.. so after I did that, in
the
shop, I went to the hangar.

I don't have any AN10-34a's... but I do have a thousand or more
NAS150-DH58's. They are identical grip/length as the -34's but have an
internal wrenching head.

Send me a direct email if interested.

I'll look tomorrow Don. I know I had a box of AN10-32's on the bench a
week
back, but I sold them all to a guy restoring a Howard. Can't remember
if I
had a box of -34's but will look in the morning (or later tonight if I
feel
like a wander to the hangar)
