[rebel-builders] New Static Location

Sounds like you have a newer Dynon unit. I have the D100 and placed the
static port about halfway down the tail. I read the many notes in the
archives about places that it didn't work very well, but I am really pleased
with my location on the Elite. I thought a lot about where to put it and got
lucky (based on GPS cross checking of airspeed).
Here is a link to my website-in-progress showing the location. You should be
able to determine a similar bulkhead based on the location of the rear
elevator pulley in the picture.

Has anyone put their static port in the mid to rear tailcone area? I'm
mounting my AHARS for the Dynon in that area and would like to avoid running
both pitot and static back from the front where I'd originally planned them
to be. They both connect to the unit back there. Craig
