[rebel-builders] wing attach eccentrics to correct angle of attack issue

I'm going to restate that. I just got back... out of my back field... after
knocking an eccentric bushing out of a C152 fuselage.. and a full set out of
an Aero Commander Lark 100.

If you can get a set from a Lark.. they are the perfect width to use, as it
matches the gusset plate and carrythru thickness. HOWEVER.. they are drilled
for 5/16th bolt. JUST enough material left to up drill to 3/8ths and the
bushing itself is only 1/2" OD... so not an issue for edge distance
remaining for the Rebel carrythru tube and gusset plate. Unfortunately...
they are only going to give you a TOTAL correction, if you installed them in
both sides, of 1/8th of an inch.

The Cessna essentric is 11/16ths OD and drilled for a 7/16 bolt. You could
turn down the bushing to about 5/8ths and then mill it to match the gusset +
carrythu thickness to use them. Would have to drill the wing attach fittings
to 7/16ths.. which again shouldnt' be an issue.. They will give a TOTAL
correction of 1/4" if used on both sides.

Now if there was something in the middle.. it would be perfect. Make a set
from 3/4" square (or hex) stock for a wrench platform and turn it down to
9/16ths. Just chuck a piece in the lathe and turn an inch section or so to
diameter. Then cut the section to match the gusset + carrythrough width.
Drill as close to an edge as you can for 3/8ths. This will give you the
3/16ths you need Keith with one turned to the top and the other the
bottom....... and when all is said and done.. I hope you don't have to turn
them to make it fly straight!! LOL

Just checked a Cessna wing manual.. and the eccentrics are held in place
by
the tight attach bolt. Nothing else. Rigging directions are...loosen the
attach bolt nut.. turn the bushings...tighten the nut.
