[rebel-builders] Moose Seats/Rails OR SEAT RAILS IN GENERAL

FWIW, regardless of how flimsy or not, the practice of getting in,
getting seated and then trying to get keys, or whatever from you pants
pocket by trying to stand up, pushing
hard against the seat back, doesn't help. We have just had similar
issue with our club C172, and their seat tracks/retainers ain't all that
flimsy.
What makes it worse is that there are clips fitted to the tracks so that
the seat can't go all the way back.
Here endeth the lesson from down under, stolen from our LAME. :-)
Rebel 804 down under, where its still nice and warm. ;-)
PS. Hasn't been under 20* C since Dec 07.

hello

I have been told by another Moose builder that the 'clip' part of the seat
that
grips on to the rail bent on both of his front seats during a flight and
the seats
separated from the rails.

Has anyone else experienced this? and does anyone have any good ideas on
fixes to stop this happening?

They do look pretty flimsey so I'm keen to do something but don't want to
re-invent the wheel.
