Hello!
For R280, I have assembled the carrythroughs, uprights, crossbar (?), and
the
gussets without drilling any larger holes (like the 1/4" ones MAM
suggested).
Side to side I have 44" outside dimensions throughout the length, and top to
bottom 43 3/4". I checked the diagonal distance between a larger hole in the
bottom gusset (on the part that sticks out the side for the bottom gusset)
and
a similar hole in the top gusset (it also sticks out side the upright, but
at
this point so does the crossbar). This distance is 61 3/16" on hole centers
on
both diagonals.
What bothers me now is that the predrilled holes in the five chanell
aluminum
members aren't well aligned with the predrilled holes in the gussets. And
one
upright is visibly further away from the crossbar than the opposite piece.
They'll come out fine since they are #30 holes and I'll enlarge them to #11.
But like I say, all the measurements check out okay with both diagonals
being
equal. Did Murphy make these members sloppily or what?
Waiting to drill,
Dan
